Setting your table is the most important thing. Your table so it will look like a billion bucks, or at least impress your guest. The setting of the table should also set the mood for the food, please keep that in mind.


You don't need expensive Christmas plates to make your table beautiful, but if you have to have them look in the clearance section of the store, to really get a bargain. If you are willing, I have heard that the dollar store makes great dishes for the holidays. I can't confirm this, but I bought a bowl from the dollar store 5 years ago and I still have it today. So I think that may be a good place to shop. Although, all you really need is plain green, gold,white or red. You may already own some sets. However, if you don't, just buy some plain white dishes for an inexpensive price.

You can buy a vase add flowers ( Many stores have flowers that you can use) to get a wonderful centerpiece. Next, the decision to use a runner or go with a table cloth is needed. This is the first thing you'll put on the table and it will set the tone for the day or evening. I suggest borrowing one or buying a high quality runner or table cloth. Similar to the one found here. You want to buy a solid color or a
runner/table cloth that can be used for other dinner parties or family gatherings during the year.


Lastly, you should get some red napkins and gold napkin rings and put them on top of the dining plate.
